The walk will start near the old station building then visit the railway cottages on Chatsworth Road. After crossing the A6 the site of the 1863 station and dairy will be visited before walking past the site of the marshalling yard. The walk will end at the Peak Rail station at Rowsley South. The walk will be on pavements and then footpaths and some rough ground in the old marshalling yard. Participants will need to come in stout footwear and with rain gear. Participants will need to pre register and the maximum party size will be 12. The walk will start from the Bamford's Auctioneers sign in the Peak Village shopping centre where free parking will be available. At the end of the walk refreshments will be available for purchase in the station buffet. Please note that this date is our Mixed Traffic Gala, so the Tea Rooms are likely to be busy. Participants will be given information about public transport back to the Peak Outlets village and return lifts will be available for car drivers. The walk will start at 10.30 and is expected to last two hours.

The Exhibition Room at Darley Dale station will be open on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September from 10:30 to 15:30 each day. A talk lasting about 30 minutes will take place at 14:30 each day telling the story of the station from the opening of the original station in 1849 to the present day, including the restoration of the footbridge. This will be followed by a site tour including the Briddon Rail workshop. The talk and tour must be prebooked as the venue is small. Twelve places will be available each day.
